I'm not sure if the documentaries are included in the episode copyright, better safe than sorry though.

Feel free to continue to discuss them here in any case.

I can send you any of them if you want as I have the entire set. Don't know if others are interested or not. They tend to be a max of 20mb as one of the versions I have. Don't know if your want to re-encode them so they are an even smaller file size though.

True Omniwolf smiley

Thanks David, it doesn't look like there's all that much interest in the documentaries. I personally don't mind about them that much, I was just wondering if other people wanted them smiley

I'm never sure what to make of them myself. They are relavent in some ways but in others I wonder why they don't more closely follow the story of the series. They could have easily been more closely tied to events in each episode. I think they were a good idea but probably could have been better executed. Still if you ever want them feel free to ask. smiley

Thanks!

I'd like to think, but I may be wrong, that by not explicity saying 'ho ho ho, this is exactly where in South America our gang were on this particular trip' ...they were trying to retain that added edge of mystery MCOG always had. Maybe they just didn't want to get too detailed because of the audience (mostly kids) but that wouldn't make much sense considering how historical the cartoon was, maybe they didn't want to overload us.

But you're right, the documentaries weren't very consistent!

the doco's did add a nice edge to the show that no other cartoon (that i remember at least) had.

I still have to find a way to get the complete set in a format I can display on site. Every time I attempt tracking them down some kind of minor disaster happens that prevents it.

It seems people are interested though so I'll keep trying.

Are they going to include these on the DVD release. They weren't great but for nostalgia it be nice if they were included. Perhaps on the collectors edition if not on the main set. Might be worth asking though I guess the rights could well be seperate.
